it's been constantly cloudy since cny first day... the dry season seems to come especially late today. saw on tv that temperate countries are having snow, how nice... cool rainy weather lingers for a longer time this year...

gerberas in the morning sun
saw a bit of sunshine this morning... one of the few mornings when i wake up before 9 am. and there it was sunlight beaming on my mum's gerberas at our balcony, cheering me on, as it takes on the world on the morning of yet another new day...

the potato story
read this interesting story (tink i got it from e-mail but can't find the mail anymore)... a junior school teacher decided to do an experiment with her kids one day. she asked them to bring to school 1 potato for every person that they hate. so the students did, some brought 1, some 2 and there were those who brought 5 or even more... the experiment she told them went like this - they were supposed to bring their potatoes around with them wherever they go, even to bed and when they go to the washroom, when they were playing or watching tv... this would last for a week... hours passed and the children, particularly the ones with more potatoes, started to complain. it wasn't much fun lugging around a bag of potatoes... esp when it's heavy... after a few days, the potatoes started to rot, letting out a weird smell, other kids didn't want to play with them anymore... the kids did not like the potatoes at all...

that's about all i remember of the story. the kids probably can't help others to carry potatoes... since they had their own to carry, the teacher was trying to teach her kids about bearing hatred. it's a heavy, unnecessary burden that is silly to carry hatred around... and it stinks... a stench that drives people they love away...

waste of time
an advertisement on tv caught my eye... says how much time we spend on queueing, sleeping and waiting... how much time we spend on loving and hating? i think i've posted this before, but the number one question i really want to ask god is why he created man and woman to be so different and yet so needy of each other... man differs from man, woman differs from woman, woman differs from man... yet "it was not good for man to be alone". y wasn't it good?
